Integration with Gravity

Did any of your calculus teachers ever mention the fact that you can find the area under a curve by weighing it? Yes, it is that simple.

All you need to do is measure the raw size of your paper and weigh it. Area / Weight = Area per unit Weight (m2/N). Now you know what the specific weight of your paper is. Plot your curve and cut out along the curve, down the Y axis, across the X axis to your limit and then straight up parallel to the Y axis. Weigh this portion of paper on a analytic balance. Area per unit Weight x Weight = Area.

If your limits of integration do not start at zero, just cut parallel to the Y axis where your limit begins.
